crystalline asteroids?
i just found some asteroids labelled as crystalline and when i found them it said there were scattered pieces of mining ships near them, now ive already added it to my empire and built mining stations around them, because even if i lose those stations its a net gain, now i dont want spoilers, but i want to know, does anything actually happen with these? or is it just a neat system. (just say yes or no, i kinda want to see this for myself)

Yes. No. Just wait.
nevermind, literally not even ten minutes later i get an alert the system is experiencing an event regarding the asteroids.

You can always ask the curators when you're curious about a leviathan event. Costs you credits but you get to know what to expect.

its not a leviathan event (might be part of the DLC, i dont know, but its not an event with a leviathan monster) its just a system with an absurd amount of minerals for a single system (38)

is it? ive checked and the curators make no mention of it, then again they also make no mention of the ether drake i stumbled across when passing through allied territory.

the ether drake or the crystalline asteroids? because if its the drake thats kind of amusing the main thing they have been advertising as the face of the leviathans dlc isnt a leviathan itself.

Very much considered a leviathan. Counts as a leviathan encountered giving the "Leviathans" dialog box if it's the first discovered, curators have info on them, they're listed as a leviathan in the code, they have the leviathan fleet symbol.
