I presume you mean hive minds, it depends on what defense they're using. Kinetics are good against shields, lasers against armor, and missiles against nothing. Kinetics are the best I think but lasers can work fine even if not just as well.

Anti armor all the way with a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of point defense

So plasma, drone lasers, lances, flak ect

The swarms all armor defense with heavy strike craft and missle use.

no, its the crystalline asteroid swarmers, I found a system with about 40 minerals and some strat ress, and i built mines on all of them and all of a sudden they spawned 5-6 groups of "hivers"

each group is 2k strength and my fleet is only at 5k atm
