governing ethics attraction?
hi

i don't understand how anything about governing ethics works...i tried searching discussions and the last thing said is that it's a broken function in the game? but i saw there was an update 2 weeks ago that might have fixed it?

what is governing ethics attractions? i basically don't understsand anything about the policies and edicts tab or the factions tab and what they do....about the only thing I do understand is try and appease the factions so you don't go into negative influence points.

each ethic has different things that attract pops to it. the ethic being one of your governing ethics is a big one.
the governing ethics attraction is a modifier that further increases the attraction to your governments ethics

If youre playing 1.6 or 1.6.1 the government ethics attraction is broken. Has no effect at all. So ignore anything related specifically to government ethic attraction and concentrate on things that cause attraction to specific ethics instead.

Government ethic attraction means it will amplify the effect of any government ethic. It gives a boost to any existing specific ethic attraction. Like if you're a militarist and at war, the boost from being at war will be greater depending on your government ethic attraction.

If it already got fixed I would love to know.

So if your spiritualist you boost your boost to the boost? and then what? you have lots of boosts for boost for nothing?

It boosts the spiritualist and any other ethics you might of chosen yes. It's not for nothing because the more attraction you have the less chance people will drift to undesirable ethics.

when they do change ethics its a lower chance of being a non-government one. doesnt change the chance to drift
