How big is the Stellaris download?

I've never actually played this game before and I was considering getting it, but I have a limited monthly download cap on my internet, anyone download it recently so I have a good idea of how much internet I need to set aside?

I don't recall it being especially large. It isn't small either. My advice, if you have a laptop, is to go to some public place and download it there. I've down that before.

Looks like the total installed size is about 6.5 gigabytes, so probably in that neighborhood.

Lol, no. Not for a 4X.

edit: For comparison's sake, Age of Wonders 3, with all DLC, is 5.6GB in size (install sizes), Civ V with two or three minor DLC is 4.6GB, and Endless Space is 3.5GB. My Stellaris install size, with out Utopia, is 5.3GB on GNU/Linux.

I've played X3, and it seems nothing like a 4X game. Is Rebirth a 4X? I know it's tagged as such, but all games have some weird tags.
