I cant research the "Unusual Energy Readings" after defeating the Dimensional Horror

Hello. I have just defeated the dimensional horror and it left behind "unusual energy readings". So I sent a science ship into orbit of it to research it, however there is no option to do so. It is a level 5 scientist as well. I checked the situation log as well and there is no mention of it. I looked up ASpec's video about the dimensional horror and he seemed to not encounter any problem of researching it after defeating it. Anything I'm doing wrong? I surveyed the system (the single black hole) and still nothing. Do I have to wait even longer? (edit) I continued playing for a long time after defeating it maybe a few years and there still isn't any ability to research it.

Honestly it sounds like you encountered a bug. To be fair by the time you can defeat the horror, jump tech should be just a hop skip down the road for research.

Yeah I can actually research that right now but man. no 50% skip. Oh well.
