Keyboard Controls
Just downloaded this game and the keyboard controls are all ass backwords. Anyone know how to fix this? Arrows instead of WASD, can't bind attack to right and left mouse buttons and the camera controls are not linked to the mouse wheel. Really could use some help with that. Any mods to change that cause that?

the mouse isn't implemented. Don't know why (maybe to difficult?)
But elsewise you should be able to configure your controlls

While you may not be able to change it to mouse stuff in game, you can probably edit the Input config file.

The main problem of doing this is how the combo system works, and, personally, I think it would make it even more ass backwards to use the mouse for attacks.

They should allow us to reconfigure keyboard controls, it's a pain in the arse navigating around with the arrow keys, especially annoying when Spacebar doesn't respond while pressing down and right at the same time... It sort of ruined the game for me.

That said, I don't know how WASD + mouse would work with a platform game. But then, why not, wouldn't hurt to add mouse support as well for those who want it.

Cheers Nero, looked everywhere but I must've missed that.

While WASD is a huge relief, still can't reconfigure certain keys :/
Would've liked being able to use the Delete, End, Pg Up/Down etc, very comfy to have movement keys on the left side and action keys on right.

In this guide I use the mouse to attack.

This is possible, but you need to fix file:
"C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\WoolfeTRHD\WoolfeGame\Config\WoolfeWoolfeInput.ini"
Only in this way, maybe it's hard.

Can't really figure how or which, yeah I'd say it's hard... those keys seem to be assigned to camera controls, and there's stuff like "Talk" and "Team Talk" on buttons I've already reassigned, everything looks different in the input file :x

Ah well, too much work.... maybe the devs will consider adding more freedom to the controls.

Ok, I did it! Two control schemes:

1. WASD - to movement; Left Mouse - primary attack; Right Mouse - secondary attack; R - roll;
2. WASD - to movement; Del - primary attack; End - secondary attack; PageDown - roll;

Thanks!

Edit: Erm, it didn't work for me, copy/pasted it to that folder and its still the old configs when I go ingame. Even reverted back to the arrow keys (I was using WASD earlier). To be more precise, everytime I run the game, it resets the config file to default. Changing the file to read-only takes care of that, but then any keys I reconfigure ingame won't save.

CapricaSix, you replaced file "WoolfeWoolfeInput.ini"? no need to copy the folders, but only one of the files.

P.S. If so - make a reset and then replace the last block starting on [WoolfeGame.WoolfeInput] in your "WoolfeWoolfeInput.ini" manually from my file.

That's all fine. The main problem is that I have to keep that file "read-only", and I can't save or change anything when it's read-only while I'm ingame. Not to mention I can't figure what's what in that file if I want to change a few keys manually, it's a huge mess...

All that I have changed in the original file is: 6 lines

Bindings=(Name="LeftMouseButton"...
Bindings=(Name="RightMouseButton"... etc

That helped, thanks. Though I do hope the devs will look into it as well, nobody should have to go through all this trouble.

It's on our radar !

I simply reconfigured the movement to WASD, left control to sneak, and left shift to sprint. Then, the arrow keys I made light attack, strong attack, and magic from right to left. Seems to work out well.
I admit, at first I was a bit put off by this, but I got used to it quickly. Think outside the box, grow as a gamer!
