Also, they went bankrupt when the game was alrdy finished and published. They went bankrupt exactly as a result of the game being bad, because when it was published the backers and early buyers saw how bad it was and started complaining and making negative reviews, which made everybody else go away. They were relying on sells money to be able to send backers gifts, and got no money and were (clamed to) unable to ship them.
And I doubt the new IP owner will continue it. It's a public story, badly implemented on a game. It has no inherent value. Most ppl who bought it just did it on sale to try if the game was as bad as ppl were saying.
