8k Hour Vigor player - ask anything about the game

Been playing this game since it was released on Playstation in Dec 2020. Will be playing/streaming Early access. If you have any gameplay questions feel free to ask. :) Hope to see a lot of players during early access. Feedback from everyone will be great to help Vigor become the polished game it can be. :) pce

Cheating is gonna be a major problem as we are witnessing with all other multiplayer pvp games. Hopefully they take this matter seriously

Hopefully they take it very seriously & ban cheaters in their game before they spread like a cancer. We had some "issues" on console with people "cheating" - it wasn't your typical pc hacks - aimbot/wallhacks etc or even "cronus" but there was a group of players exploiting the game in a different way and this went on well over a year almost 2 years before it finally got patched.
We will defo need to see them monitor the community better than that while also working faster once an issue is identified.

Cheaters suck plain and simple, they ruin the fun for honest gamers such as you and I.

It's almost useless to fight cheaters in popular F2P game, just because of the main instrument - banhammer - makes no affect, they (cheaters) just create another account. So I'd prefer this game to be B2P like Hunt showdown, middle priced, but it lowers quantity of cheaters significantly. But we got what we've got, Thanks for your answer btw. If I understood correct, backpack = you storage in safehouse..? A little bit strange.

Hi. Your "back pack" is what you bring into the match/encounter to "fill" with loot. It has 25 slots for "loot" but you also carry your ammo/heals/consumables in these 25 slots so if you bring in a ton of ammo and heals theres less space in the backpack for "loot" so to speak.

back at the shelter you can store unlimited amount of resources, loot, guns, ammo etc etc .. there is no limit to what you can store/hoard back in your shelter. And the shelter is a "safe space" .. you can't be raided or lose any items stored in the shelter.

Sorry if I havent done a good explaining this better, if you're ever confused about any of this just ask and I'll try my best to better explain any aspect of the game I can. :)

@Van_Z - Just to add, I also wish Vigor was pay to play also, it would stop so many of the issues I've seen over the years with people making new accounts to be toxic, grief other players, streamsnipe and grief, using 2 accounts to exploit kill/spectating camera etc etc ... but with it being F2P on console since release I don't feel they'll change stances on this, so hopefully they do their best to combat the new influx of PC cheaters, griefers & exploiters.

Thanks for answers, now everything is clear. On consoles there are not as much cheaters as on PC i guess, so it quite different situation for F2P PVP game. But we'll see how it goes, lets hope i'm wrong :)

We havent had very many issues with true "cheaters" at all .. everyone calls everyone with a bit of skill a "cheater" and "cronus" user but tbh I'm 8k hours deep and I don't think I've ever encountered a player who I thought "oh he's using a cronus 100%" I have had 2 different players use a lag switch in my matches before but again, that's 2 times in 8k hours played.

Our "cheaters" on console were doing things like exploiting the PSN store to get free "paid premium weapon/crown packs" , teamers in solos, ppl making 2 accounts to exploit the after death kill/spectator cam, stuff like that. The "seedy" side of the community is very very seedy - but - for the most part Outlanders are a nice friendly bunch of players.

I fear F2P on PC though will be a whole whole different story. Fingers crossed the devs are serious about doing all they can to mitigate cheating in the game from PC players but we'll see.

You can't play encounters with randoms. You must create a team/squad before the match starts. You can play elimination mode with randoms though.

Currently there is no voice chat or proxy chat.

I have a maxed out base with almost every weapon blue print on my ps4 I somehow doubt they will let me transfer my acct to Steam, any thoughts on this? Also wondering if it will be crossplay

You get a "platform pioneer" badge/title, kinda like the equivalent of the xbox founders badge.

There is no crossprogression, on pc you start all over. I personally do not mind this as for me a fresh start might be fun. I can see why it would upset other players though.

and there will be crossplay across all 4 platforms with the option to enable/disable it
