Won't start: "Assertion failed!" error

Hi,

When I am trying to start the game it gives me an "Assertion failed!" error and then fails to start. It says:

File: c:\projects\explodemon\nexus\modules\n...\DXUTmisc.h
Line: 109
Expression: nIndex >= 0 && nIndex < m_nSize

Is this a known error? Is there something I can do about it, on my machine?

I have this error as well.

Had this issue as well, but running the .exe in compatability mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2 while also running it as an administrator got it to actually start.

Just bought it had same problem.
My anti virus was blocking the exe.
Unblocked the exe & now it works..Only problem is it wont let me change the resolution its stuck at 640X480.
Running on W10 x64.

I'm also having this problem but none of the solutions listed have had any effect. I tried every option trouble shooting compatibility and running as an administrator and nothing worked.
