Still don't know the cause, but the solution I've found is to ALT+TAB out of the game, then back in again.
I don't know why, but it works.
Because you are an idiot who misspells newb, I will explain to you. This is not an issue with bad computers. This is a programming program. Either with Steam or the game (likely the game). The problem isnt very wide spread given that there arent that many complaints. Meaning it could be as small as an issue with our GPU, the drivers, or even something custom of the OS set up.
For the record, I have an i5, 8GB Ram, 2GB ATI 7870, running Win 7. It is not a beast, but I run most games on high or very high. Even on the lowest settings this game doesnt work.
