POWER BLAST UPDATE
This update is now live and adds a number of gameplay features and improvements designed to increase the replayability of the title and also allow for a bit more personalization in relation to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The new features include:

Power Blast - Each Ranger now has the ability to knock away nearby enemies within a small range, using a special attack, but at the cost of a bit of character health (if the attack actually hits an enemy). A Power Blast can be performed by pressing the ATTACK and SUPER ATTACK buttons simultaneously.

Ground Recovery - When knocked back by an enemy, players can time a button press to perform a ground recovery, versus landing on the ground. This will allow players to recover from an enemy attack and start attacking again quickly versus landing on the ground and then needing to get up. A ground recovery can be performed by pressing the DODGE button before landing on the ground.

Ranger stats upgrade system - After completing a level, players can now upgrade aspects of their Ranger. This system will convert the score that player earns on a level into points which can be then utilized to upgrade three different stats:

  • Strength (STR)
  • Defense (DEF)
  • Speed (SPD)
Rangers also now start the game with slightly different stats from each other to further reinforce a bit more variety between the characters.

Morphers - Once a player finishes the game at least once, they will be able to start a new game and select from a variety of gameplay modifiers. Our hope is that these additional features will further encourage replayability as players try out all the different permutations of options available.

Remappable controls - Players are able to customize their controls as needed by selecting the “CHANGE CONTROLS” option located on the “MOVES LIST” screen.

Well, I didn't expect things about gameplay modifiers drop so early, so it's quite a surprise, I just test one on a new game for tough putties and max numbers and the additional challenge was fun actually.
How is it affecting some steam achievements ? I suppose it's not the same thing when you finish the game by blasting all ennemies with a single punch.

I don't really understand how works the stats stuff neither, there is no option for reset the stats in the options ?. Or maybe I miss something and it's possible to do that at some point without tweaking stuff in the files.
But I like the fact that people complained about no individual stats and they're answering in an update being like "whatever, do your own stats for your rangers" it's not a common thing you can do in a BTU, so *clapclap*

Power blast attacks are a cool addition, powerful and beautiful animations but I just find weird how you're suppose to do it on your controller with the default button mapping, (maybe it's just me)

the nintendo prompts for the steam pc version are still wrong, it's written"B" for back/return when it should be written "A".
Game still not saving your gamepad prompts for the next time you launch the game (xbox/playstation/nintendo)

I'm complaining a little bit but, it's a good update,
thanks for the support Digital Eclipse.

What about the 5ppl online fully implemented ?
Obviously no mentions, zero news.
But now we have the power blast :golden:
Thanks for the update; it's good to see the game; it's getting more improvements. It was a good update, but it could be better. Kinda disappointed that, for example, Kimberly's new move isn't a ranged attack with a bow; it feels like she just reused some sprites and added some effects rather to make a new one for her.

Also, one thing I would enjoy a lot is an option, especially in speed run mode, to remove cutscenes and talking during stages alongside with the annoying timer covering the screen all the time. I like to do some speed running in this game, but that thing covering the screen is annoying and could be a button to hide when necessary.

The modifiers are okay, but not very interesting. Again, I'm happy with this update; it's a big step in the right direction and shows that the team wants this game to be better, and I hope it happens.
havn't got around to testing yet, but i'm actually super excited. Thank you for this update so soon, i appreciate you.
Could you please add an option to reduce/disable the camera shake for us that get disoriented/motion sickness?

Spring

"What's next? Online improvements! Later this spring, we'll upgrade the game's online mode to allow up to six machines to connect for multiplayer matches. It's worth noting that since our game uses peer-to-peer connections, more machines in more locations with more distance between them will introduce more latency. We still feel a two-machine connection with multiple players on each side will offer the best co-op experience online, but since this feature was heavily requested, you will ultimately be the judge."
could you release a white ranger dlc ?
Anyone got gameplay of this update? Can't find any and I want to see if the game is worth buying now.
looking for a co-op partner ! add me plz!

Testing a little more, some suggestions about this update.

Include a 4th level up option, could be charge super faster for example. so when we level up during play we can spread more the points because in the end with all status maxed all rangers become the same again, so with that we can have some diversity.

Also, i would love to when i start a new file my ranger stats reset, i was going to play with friends and my red ranger was maxed and all other rangers are not, kinda takes away the fun of the system and in the end all the rangers become the same because there's no different stats.
