As for your question, not sure about that specifically but it would be nice. Hopefully when 5 player co-op comes out that will be a thing, as well as a drop in drop out feature and lobbies like in Shredder's Revenge.
You need to make ONE THREAD and list (or edit)improvements you want to see, not making one thread by subject xD
You made like 8 threads in barely a day.
I know; I was worried about that! I probably won't be posting a whole lot else, since this was mostly everything I had fresh in my head after completing the game. I was really hoping there was a bug-report section because that's where I would've preferred to put several of these. I also wanted to make sure I got each thing out there when I had time without making one giant post of so many disparate issues/questions/thoughts.
I won't lie, while try to avoid being overly negative, I can't necessarily blame people being frustrated. I feel lucky, because I pre-ordered, finished another game, then finally got to this just about a week or-so ago. I was pretty shocked when I heard about the state this game was released in and am honestly still perhaps more shocked that one of the absolute most critical features that I assumed was just "there" from the trailer is still something we're talking about, hoping it will be implemented in a reasonable manner.
It's definitely going to be a frustrating situation for the devs, as not delaying the game was almost certainly the decision of some high-level executive somewhere, but I can absolutely see how it's equally frustrating for customers who unlike the executive or the developers, aren't receiving a paycheck, but instead are paying a pretty high asking-price only to realize they essentially paid for an unfinished, unpolished (aside from the graphics; they're awesome!) game that they then are only able to hope is fixed/completed to a reasonable degree at some unknown point in the future.
Don't get me wrong, there are so many parts of this game that I absolutely love, but even for people in my boat, while it's painful to see such a game not realize the incredible potential that practically oozed from the trailer, it's so much worse to know that the anti-consumer decision to knowingly release such an unfinished product has also most likely killed any hope for the franchise almost before it started.
I really hope to see some more communication from the company on the forums. I know wading through some of the more vitriolic customers isn't fun, the only right thing to do at this point is provide as much transparency as possible through as many outlets as possible. I'm definitely more than a little worried about the level of support this game is going to receive after how much I saw that needs work while playing and then seeing that the last update was in December. I just so wish this could've been handled better so that we could mainly be talking about what an awesome job the devs did on the visuals and music; it's awesome!
Here's hoping!
Yeah, unfortunately this specific case is very representative of my experience with the game as a whole. It's clear that there are some awesome people working on it and some absolutely amazing sections of the game, like the Dragonzord fight, but at the same time, it's painfully apparent that the development team wasn't able to maintain a reasonable pace or the executives just decided to shove it out the door ridiculously early to make a quick buck (maybe both scenarios are true; I have no idea).
I want to be positive because I absolutely love the IP and think they did some awesome things with this game, but I also can't in good conscience just promote this game to people because releasing the game like this really was nothing short a scam. Of course the poor developers are then left to try to clean up the mess and keep their company's reputation intact. My biggest concern at this point is that it feels all too likely that the damage has already been done and the resulting lack of sales and/or negative reception will ensure this game doesn't get the time and resources required to realize its potential, much less get DLC or a sequel.
For now, while it's hard to feel positive about it, I've resigned myself to just being hopeful!
Here's hoping! :D
The fact that we got speedrun mode and not an arcade mode baffles me. This is a millenial IP that self declares itself as having 90's graphics and is a beat 'em up which are usually arcade games. You can speedrun anything. It doesn't need a speedrun mode prioritized over an arcade mode.
