I'm extremely confused on how I was able to play through an entire run only seeing what seems like a glitched animation. What you describe sounds like exactly what happened to me when I was pressing "X" to slash and then mashing "X" to charge the sword. See what happens when you try pressing "A" to initiate the slash and then either mash "A" and "X" or just "A" to to charge it. When I slashed with "A" and mashed both "A" and "X" at the same time, the meter made a different sound upon charging and the enemy was sent really far backward in a cool but equally confusing looking effect.
I discovered a different looking finishing attack when fighting Eye Guy on the roller-coaster, too. It used to look like I was just firing the same super laser as the one you can just use for your own super, but upon trying the same buttons I did for the sword for its new animation, it gave me a much larger blast that looked way cooler.
I still don't understand exactly what's going on with this, but it really should just be the following for every Megazord finish:
1. Initiate slash
2. Mash to charge
3. Slash line appears along screen
4. Megazord initiates the same turn-around animation it does already
5. Explosion effect over enemy while the Megazord is facing screen, similar to the show
This is just such a bizarre mystery and I'm a little worried that with how confusing it is about what buttons you should and shouldn't press, if whatever the actual, intended animation is still messed-up or underwhelming, there won't be any chance of it getting fixed.
Hopefully the devs shine some light on this soon!
