The Banner Saga 2
eyeless fight (spoilers)
every time during the eyeless fight, the eyeless will be invisible / off field and I'll kill a dredge, then it immediately becomes the eyeless' turn and he one-hit-kills one of my weaker units. is the solution to fight near the bottom left, as he seems to emerge top right?

Plan carefully with when and how you leave corpses, as well.
okay, now he came out of the bottom left and f'ed up my plans. this is kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the only solution I can think of is to go in with all varl and sacrifice a few to protect the valka???
its utter crap that he gets a free turn to move 10+ tiles and KO a unit
It is probably the hardest fight in the game, if that makes you feel any better.
When I fought it on hard mode, I basically just made sure to shatter his armour with all my willpoints when he did appear. Then I destroyed him in 2-3 hits with Oli's axe storm.
is it acceptable to sacrifice the gray valka, i forget her name? not really a fan of her rune ability or her, like, personality...
im wondering if theres any way of predicting which part of the field the eyeless will come out of?
It's probably random. If you are struggling, though, remember that it's the final fight with Bolverk's caravan. You can risk your troops getting injured
so basically no death in this fight matters?
Well, I suppose not. The only penalty that you usually recieve is an injured unit but since it's the last fight then it doesn't matter. Remember that if you want to slay Eyeless for good then you have to hit his 19 strength body (there will be a few more dredge spawned though) after killing him in the intial fight so make sure you have units ready for that, too.
wait, dead units aren't permadead, only injured? I thought permadeath was a hallmark of the series
Characters can only die through story chocies but a six-day injury is pretty fatal on hard mode
seems like a change from the first game, right? thanks for clearing it up

No.
The first game had only one character that could perma-die from combat death: Egil, and it was basically an achievement.

Somewhere, you failed to read, because itexplains injuries. :v
well then I played avoiding deaths for no reason :D
