the main thing I would suggest is concentrating on every enemy besides her first. she is at her weakest when she is controlling someone.
After you have killed everybody else, you nuke her. also remember, she gets a free turn whenever you kill the one who is being controlled.
The fight is indeed hard, and might have been impossible if all enemies needed to be killed, but you need only take out the Sundr.
Oh i read that wrong lol , thought you were on the same page , might try to keep her inside the corpse and/or nuke her.
I didn't experiment much with her behavior. It might be possible to keep her in a weak host body for a long period of time, which gives more credibility to the strategy of leaving her for last. But even without her as a significant presence in the fight, I found her units to be simply mathematically overwhelming to my forces, to the point where top-notch tactics wouldn't have won the battle (on hard mode, at least). Going all-in on Eyeless, for me, was the only option of ending the fight favorably. At the very least, I think it saves some injuries.
Hmm, interesting.
Admittedly I haven`t played the game on hard yet, so I don`t know about the difference in difficulty there. Only done these on normal.
Agreed that Eyeless is one of the hardest fights (if not the hardest) - I mean, she's the Sundr in this game. You'll fight Eyeless twice, once in the caves and once on the bridge. In both cases the battle will end with her defeat (though in one instance you can go at her again). I actually disagree with the idea of leaving her for last and then taking her out during pillage phase - I believe her stats are around 22 armor/20 strength (on hard), which means she can one-shot weaker members or anyone with weakened armor (which, if she's been saved for last, many people will have). As Kivivarvus noted, when her host body is re-killed she gets a free turn, which often means somebody immediately dies. I think your best defense is other peoples' turns. When I beat her I maimed her host body first, then maimed everyone else I could, and only then killed her host. She pops out and causes mayhem, but likely won't be getting another turn anytime soon. While the other maimed dredge are sucking up turns, start beating on her until that 20 strength is more manageable. From there either end the fight with her death or kill everyone else and work your way around to her.
