I can run it, but it's so choppy to be unusable. crappy clunky windows 10. I hope someone finds a fix for this.

I solved the same issue today on windows 8.1 and posted the solution on a different thread. WOE needs DirectX 9 to run and to my knowledge it wont run on DX10 or DX11. Try downloading and installing DirectX End User Runtimes (June 2010) from microsoft.com. Hope that works for you.

Thanks. Hasn't made any change though, still too choppy. Though after downloading I just ran the DXsetup application. Is it one of the winzipped files I need?. I tried extracting one and just got an error message after it extracted 99%.

Humm.. Thats unfortunate, it worked for me on windows 8.1. If WOE launches but runs too choppy to play then it might be worth your time to try optimizing the graphics if you havent already. I had to limit the rendering distance to get it to run smoothly on my machine but pretty much all other preferences are cranked up. I just know that WOE wouldnt run at all on 8.1 without first installing DX9 (even though my computer already had DX11 installed).

I solved my problem, my joystick drivers wern't working well on windows 10, there were no updates for that joystick so I got a new joystick, works well now. Always comes down to the drivers, the companies way of makeing sure people spend money to buy new stuff.

Download the files to fix Wings over Europe low fps on Windows 10 here: http://enbdev.com/patch_tesskyrim_antifreeze_v0096.htm then simply copy the d3d9.dll and enbpatch.ini files to your Wings Over Europe installation directory. After you finish a mission you may get a black screen if this happens just Alt+Tab to desktop then Alt+Tab back to the game.
A big thanks to Federico Dossena aka AdolfIintel for actually finding the fix, check his website out here: http://adolfintel.com/?p=home.frag

Get the d3d9.dll from here: http://enbdev.com/mod_deusex_v0075e.htm if you're still freezing on ESC.

hello everyone, no solution published here solved my problem, the game only works if it is low quality, slow fps and it still crashes eventually. does anyone know another solution? The game was purchased on steam.

I created a video to run at 60fps on Windows 10. However exiting the game and saving your progress is still problematic.
