Weird Red/Black Screen when I play

So unfortunately I am not the most computer savvy, so please explain this like I am 5 lol. Lately when I have launched the game, a pop up comes out saying "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Disciples Sacred Lands Gold>.\Exe\Disciple.exe" and then the game turns completely red/black and looks like a "negative" image. This of course makes it impossible to play. Does anyone else experience this and have a solution? Thank you!

Newer issue of Nvidia drivers. Which is major bummer of situation - regular ddraw fixers of Windows Vista/7 cannot fix that Nvidia issue. You need more advanced wrappers.
Win 8 and Win 10 have more stupidiest tweaks applied above WinVista stupid tweaks. It make regular rainbow folors issue visible disappears but slodown every old games including D3D8 (Win10 and Nvidia in combination broke even D3D9 and D3D10).
And this red-blue issue still remain. Regular Windows symptoms is blue-white colors.

Likely, there is such advance wrappers which work with this game and not make it crash.
Try Narzoul's Ddraw Compat wrapper. Depend on OS you need 2.0.1 or 3.0.1 version. Starting from 4.0.x it is entirely differ wrapper. Try this if you ok with manually set up a config file come with it (ini-file).
