If anybody wants to play the first ubersoldier (provided you.... ahem... patch it to work) you need to RENAME the 3DNOW_SSE folder in video in order to get the game to start.

What do you mean - i have both Games - how exactlly can i Play Ubersoldier 1 in Ubersoldier 2?
What Files are nec. to remove/rename/copy.......

Necro-ing this post. Currently working on gettting US1 running on Windows 10

Can confirm with the original vanilla build of Ubersoldier 1, the game will not start without making sure the 3 "Platform" folders contain the same files. It's wiser to use the files from 3DNOW_SSE due to them containing more engine info compared to the older folders. It appears that US1 runs great on W10 now.

Use the "Dopeman Repack" for Ubersoldier 1, that one runs by default for me, also no problems with Starforce or the like.

Here is the instructions on the Ubersoldier 1 Game Fix for windows 10 ( 2022 ) :
Note this is for those who have the 3 cd discs . ( that being said , lets begin ).
1st thing is to down load the Application Fix which consists of 4 Items.
1.dare.dll
2.fjF3i_yt ( sound file )
3.vfs.dll
4.xtend ( .exe ) Application
You can google : RELOADED NO CD UBERSOLDIER V1.0 ALL
Located at Mega Games .
( Youll have to rename the file when downloaded is the only downside to this . )
Read the instructions ... easy peasy.

Now : Install the game by opening the Disc 1 , and Right click on ( Auto Run ) Application , but Run as Administrator . The Game will then start installing . Complete all 3 disc installs , until the end where you are given the options to install DirectX and online extras. Windows 10 wont recognize them so uncheck them , and complete the install by clicking ( finish ) .

Note: Do not run the Game ( Yet ). If you do it will crash your system and you will have to restore your hard drive . ( It happened to me in testing ).

Once you have downloaded the Zip File , and look for the crack file inside .
Place all these 4 items in that file ( as listed above ) the Main Game file .
Just drag and drop them in there ....
When doing so you are essentially replacing the Starforce Safety Protocol . exe with a new one .

Essentially at this point your done .

After that if you want a smooth running game , i recommend that you defrag the Hard drive because it has a lot of file displacement and needs to run together responsively .

Click the Game icon and enjoy Ubersoldier at a refresh rate of ( 1600 x 1200 ) .
Its a Great Game , and will compliment your ( Uber soldier II ) .

sorry for the necro but I came across this thread while looking ways for getting my... unofficial... version of the game to work, and this actually worked so thanks :) it did crash on quicksave and corrupt the quicksave file halfway through the first level so I'll have to remember to use different save slots while playing... but it DOES work :)

No need for crack, just get the budget release of the game.... You still need to rename 3DNOW_SSE however.

Just a side note on ctd with saves . And this applys to many games like Skyrim , Fallout 4 , Oblivion . When you have a corrupt save , sometimes it can be managed by using a program called ( Disk Speed up ) by glarysoft . Its a defrag program but it has optimization that skims the top of the harddrive .
If you defrag with this program and optimise as a choice , i have been able to restore a save file that was fragmented , when other programs didnt work.
In any case try it , as it may help you as it has me in modding Skyrim especially .
