Most people don't even play the multiplayer component of a game.
Ah I'd argue Mashed's single player is pretty pointless, it is a multiplayer focused game, I love it to bit.. it's a game I spent my college years with and have fond memories but I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone who cant take advantage of the local 4 player mode.
According to who?
Various surveys.
Can you cite any references to that effect, most people I know who bought it on console bought it for the multiplayer. A PC port without LAN is disappointing.
It was in an article I read on GameSpot (or similar site) a while back. However, it wasn't referring to this specific game; it was about ALL games that had both a single and multiplayer component. (Something like only 27% played the multiplayer component.)
