Upgrade the game to "Mashed: Fully Loaded"!

Yes, its possible!

1. Get a disc copy of the pc-version of "Mashed: Fully Loaded".
2. Install it on your pc.
3. Go to the steam installation folder of "Mashed" and delete or move all folders and files.
(Make a copy of "gamesave" if you do not want to lose it!)
4. Copy all the content of your "Mashed: Fully Loaded" installation in the "Mashed" Folder.
5. Rename the file "MFL" to "MASHED".
6. Activate the Win XP (SP3) compatibility mode for the new MASHED.exe

Now you can start it over steam and play it! Steam will count the hours of gaming too.

New features are:
2 new cars
15 new tracks
New gamemodes
Better graphics
Faster auto saving
Better controls
Better camera
Easier ai
And many bug fixes how the bridge jump bug.

Only the steam overlay isn`t working now and you need the original disc in your disc-drive. The only solution for this would be a no-cd file. :(
If you try to start the game with the old original MASHED.exe from steam it will crash in the title screen.

better camera??? where? it's the same ♥♥♥♥ as mashed...who programmed control should be arrested asap. can't belive how someone can ruin such a pretty little game with such poor camera implemention...u die cuz your car is out of the video..this can't be real dont' see where u'r going..unbelivable

If you want to start the game without cd, you may check out this:

You can also disable the intro videos with this.

Basicly the copy protection is implemented in the launch.exe, but the game can be run directly from the MFL.exe / Mashed.exe
So this tool helps to run the MFL.exe / Mashed.exe with the right parameters.

Its not a bug, its a feature! You have to die if you are out of the picture with the other cars, the last one will win the race. The first game with this gameplay mechanic was Micro Machines btw.

i bought a copy of fully loaded just to get this to work... i have gotten it to boot fine but the game lags significantly. i have tried on two different computers, both have the same problem.

anyone gotten this to work well lately?

@lohfu I have the same issue. Seems like something to do with Steam as I can run the Fully Loaded edition normally without any frame rate issues. Will update you if I manage to find a fix

I have posted an updated Guide onto the Mashed Guides section. Managed to get Mashed: Fully Loaded working with all features at normal 60fps

Just don't mix Mashed with MFL. Do a clean install of MFL. It makes no sense to reuse the mashed game directory. If needed use my MashedRunner to set the language / no-intro / skip installation.
