No controllers are working anymore

I have not played Mashed on my PC for a while. Just reinstalled it, but none of my controllers are working. Neither Dualshock 4 or Xbox 360 controllers (connected via Xbox 360 Receiver for Windows) work.

When I start the game, I can select all plugged in controllers in the "Select Controllers" dialog that pops up before the graphics settings dialog, but the controllers do not work in game. It does seem that the "Start"/"Option" dialog buttons on the controllers register as a back button, but none of the other buttons register any action at all. I have also noticed that the regular "Config Loaded: Gamepad" message does not pop up when starting Mashed, only "Config Loaded: WASD and Mouse".

If i click "Reconfigure" next to the controller selection in the "Select Controllers" dialog I seem completely unable to update any buttons.

All controllers work in all other games i have tried.

Go into big picture mode and controller settings and set to force off.
