Ocean World: Eden Crafters Prologue

Ocean World: Eden Crafters Prologue

Wave : to destructive
Its hard enough to build the power stuff. but the wave always destroys everything.

3 windmills and 2 solar all destroyed every 15 minutes of playing. time to get the f*** off this planet.

Nope, to much BS. no playing or buying.

Windmills and small solar are destroyed by the wave, the larger solar are not.

Start small with just enough to survive and make some progress. tear down the one or two windmill / solar went the wave is going to hit then rebuild them after. Then once you get a couple of larger solar built then you can go nuts building out everything else and not have to worry about it.

Every survival / building game is like this, you have to figure out the best way to survive / progress based on the specific situation...you know just like real life. Too many games have it where you can just build out like crazy right from the start, this one not so much and it's so refreshing.

You can also simply take down your power systems into inventory and rebuild them after the wave passes. It frustrated me in the beginning but I learned how to work around things.

Hi everyone, I also built the big panels, but it takes them away, and anyway if they made sure to keep them, I mean even the small ones, it is not such a difference as to simplify the game and would enhance the game, several of my friends, after a few waves have given up the game, also because, if we want to do it realistically, a wave like that either takes away everything or nothing, you can't get lost for 2 solar panels

The large solar panels are not washed away by the waves.

@Ghostlello, as @CursedXistence AND OTHERS have said, the Large Solar Panels do not get washed away. They are made using Refined Cobalt, which is infinitely available even on the Main Island. If you placed Solar Panel and they got washed away, then they were the Small Solar Panels. Yes, Windmills and Small Solar Panels will be washed away by The Wave, but those are the ONLY things that appear to get washed away.

Just keep them near your base and make certain you get back to your base when a Wave is inbound. Also make certain you have room in your Inventory to store the Raw Materials that go into the quantity of Materials that create your Windmills and Small Solar Panels. Once the warning pops up about the Inbound Wave, there's enough time to get to those Items, deconstruct them and get inside either a Building or inside the Spaceship. Then, after The Wave passes, just rebuild them. It's a relatively minor hassle that can be quickly resolved by locating the nearest Cobalt Mining Site, building an Advanced Drill on it, delivering the Cobalt to a Refiner, and making Refined Cobalt for building Large Solar Panels. After that, you can permanently get rid of the Windmills and Small Solar Panels and ONLY build Large Solar Panels. The Wave's worst effect are then neutralized, and one only needs to carry the necessary resources to build a single small building and one is safe from The Wave.

I don't understand why people have such a big issue with The Wave. It's a mechanic of the Prologue World that will be available in the final release, but shouldn't be an issue on ALL Worlds in the Final Release...

I died for lack of oxygen first, then lost my power sources a few times until I figured out how to unlock and build the power source that have in its description its hability to endure.

Really want more than two islands and new resources to keep interesting.

I put 3 nuclear cells on the ship and went on a trip over the water until death by boredom.

Why does almost NO ONE remember that this game is a Prologue. This is basically a demo, not a full release. The Water World with the Wave is part of that Demo. Once full release is reached, in Q3 or Q4 2024, there will be more world, more variety, more challenges.

I believe there's a roadmap that gives us some hints, and I'll try to find that...

EDIT: Correction, there is no roadmap, but I've seen comments about other worlds that are planned...

The wave is the challenge, deal with it.
Just in case, can someone confirm that the waves also destroy what's in the base?
my storage was all destroyed and of course, with all the contents (bug or is it normal??)
to clarify, the storage was well sheltered and not outside.

If it's to make the game harder, as much as the waves destroy everything... because there, it's frustrating to waste time in farming and crafting only to lose everything after barely 30 minutes of play

The wave should not destroy everything, mostly your power, small wind and solar. There is a fortified solar panel it won't destroy. Just take down your power devices and rebuild after its done. There is a storage that is fortified to survive as well. The description says what's fortified. Your base building should survive.

Yes, the full game,(Eden Crafters), has this planet and 2 others now with more to come. Have fun.

You can deactivate the wave by going to your savegame :

%appdata%\.edencrafters\saves
Enter your save name and edit the file : worldData.json

Locate the command :
“VagueDisabled”:false
and change false to true

Personally, I find that it takes away the chanlenge and it would become too easy.
Plus it would take out the story of this planet

And yet it did. Funny side note: the solar power plants are the only structures left after the wave, but all other stuff is gone.

I remember, that was not the case a while ago. But when i load my save now to continue it, my base don't survive the wave anymore. So i uninstalled this demo and remove the game from my wishlist, since this is not just a challenge anymore, it's just a stupid game mechanic. I'm too old for such nonsense...
