hit the /v 999999 there goes the wave altogether, not ever bothered again with it.
The wave is in no way tied to the forge. Building a forge does not stop the wave. The only way to stop it is to send the ship to the moon.
The large Solar generator (which you can't build in early game) has a little note which tells you that it is immune to The Big Wave.
The wave will not show up until you build a forge.
There is also a task to stop the waves.
For power generation, again press J, check how to unlock the big solar panel, this one can withstand the wave.
If you build the large solar panels the wave does not touch them.
Only wind and small solar. Big solar panels withstand the wave and later on you unlock a way to stop it completely.
You need to create the launch platform, it will give you the option of creating an anchor rocket, which will stop the Moon that is generating the waves, it was a very incredible idea!
