Containers

I found a container and picked it up.
Seems there was a battle at the location as I also picked a few other items floating around.
Is there any way to open it?

I did a google search and founds lots of info about BBS missions requiring you to find containers but nothing about finding containers first.
I also picked up an 'unknown object' but I found info about those online.

Does it show as container in your ship inventory? (Sorry if that isn't the correct term, I haven't played this game in forever)

Yeah. Just "Container".
Takes up 1 unit of space and says quantity 198.

I don't think it contains anything and is just kinda 'there' outside of the bbs missions.. the most you can do with it is sell it (IIRC)

Think I'll just hold onto it for a while since it looks good in the cargo hold.
