X3 Reunion on Linux - Still Testing

So. I purchased X3 Reunion. Loved the game on Windows. Best. I pay ofr the game and install the game. Doesn't run. (I'm on Linux Mint btw) So after some of my own digging and clicking I run a file in the X3 folder called "testand run". Turns out this version is still in "BETA testing" and that some dependencies are missing. So game won't run. Period. Do I get my money back or wait?

I don't really use Linux, but have you tried Wine? IIRC X3 should work that way.

HI. Thanks for responding. I cannot tell you how much Wine frustrates me, mostly because I have not sat down and taken the time to understand it fully. I will have to give it a shot it would seem

Well, you started something with 'test' in it's name, hence it started a test. :)
To run the game start 'X3R_main'

I'm on Mint too, the game ran fine on older versions of mint. On mint 19 the X3_config tool doesn't work anymore which is started first by steam. Just start the game directly and have fun :)

I wouldn't say he was being a jerk, more of a gentle chiding for not reading or searching. Sometime people get literally blasted for posting FAQs, this was hardly that.

Thanks Kane Hart. I appreciate the support. I truly am a newbie when it comes to certain things and I do not MAKE the time to find the solution properly. However, your position is appreciated.
