Sound problem
I recently installed X3 Reunion.

While the game is running, there is a continuos noise during the game (it starts from the menu and goes on during all the game)

What can I do?

I have Win 10, my pc is new. I have the one DLC of this game

Hatte das Problem auch. Windows 10 hat wohl bei den X3-Titeln Probleme mit diversen Codecpacks. Bei mir war es das "K-Lite Codec Pack". Entferne das Ganze und der Sound sollte wieder gehen.

Had the same problem. Windows 10 doesn`t work well with some codec-packs. In my case the KLite codec pack was the reason for the problems. Remove it and the sound should work like before.

I did this in Windows 7.
1. Start - K-Lite Codec Pack - Codec Tweak Tool.exe.
2. In "Codec and Filter Management" click on "DirectShow x86".
3. In the "Enable filters" find "Audio Lav Audio Decoder" turn it off and apply. Do the same for "DirectShow x64".

Oh! It's good! Because the same problem in W7. But I had simple reduced the music in the game to zero, and it helps me. Now it's time to try another way! :)

What do I do if they were already off?

if they were already off, they would be showing up in the disabled codecs list on the bottom, was that the case?

you have to convert all the files in the soundtrack folder from MP3 to WMA
