So Do I :)
There is not many people out there who have made a game all by themselves! And to get get a trophy for it too is awesome :)
That way the greedy dev can get 2 trophies!
This comment will probably be deleted because i said something negative..... sad
Its a good job there are many people playing enjoying this game, and to some this is one of the best games of 2014. There have been numerous updates, the latest one fixes up even more. the fact this video is from the launch version is what is funny if you play the game today.
Almost everything in that video has been put right, improved and more features introduced.
I will not delete your post, your opinions are your own which you have made clear, the same as as a "gaming web site". However I would like them and you to remove the part about the logos as it insinuates we did something illegal instead of using nominative use.
It's funny because the game currently looks nothing like what they played. They also wouldn't know whether the logos were licensed or not as they did not inquire about it. The logos were used according to the nominative use doctrine of trademark law. The author of the article simply confused the trademarks with copyrights. Trademark law is Title 15 U.S. Code Chapter 22, read up on it if you don't believe me.
But, we're not the sort to sue for defamation and libel even if we did win worst game of the year, so the editor is simply receiving a friendly email informing them of the mistake.
I'm sorry that we're being cool about all of this, I know people are expecting us to rage and throw fits, talk about how BS the award is and I think people are actually upset that the developer kept working on the game and making it better instead of running away from the project like others would have done.
In the end we presented the game in an open and honest manner, made every attempt to correct mistakes, and whether anyone believes it or not hired a professional actor who's been on numerous television shows to do the voice acting. If that's not good enough then all I can say is sorry.
Edit: At the same time I was abhorred that GB nominated Shadows of Mordor as game of the year when I thought it would be Dragon Age: Inquisition.
