Its a bit weird to charge for this when better and longer mods (Mel stories, Portal, reloaded,...) are free. The paint gun feature is unique and fun but I don't think it has much potential.
It doesn't help that the game is SHORT and for half of it you can only use the blue gel, which i found very confusing as to why? I didn't like the levels, they felt very obtuse and the constant limitation of features broke my experience experimenting. For example on some puzzles I would just randomly make a cube bounce until it reached the right spot instead of doing the puzzle. I also didn't like Nigel very much as he wasn't very funny and it was weird how he was following you for an entire chapter for no payoff. I thought that the price tag was for the unique paint mechanic but nope. The reticle isn't even personalised its the generic one and the paint doesn't come from the gun, it comes from the player which is specially confusing on fast scenes. i also don't understand why we don't have a clean gel option it would have helped a lot.
Also a big part of the problems is the save system. Dying takes a long time and you loose a lot of progress, once i lost my entire chamber. What you need to understand is that this isn't portal, you'll be constantly bouncing and falling to death so you'll be constantly repeating a lot of sections.

I understand that the dev team was small, and this came 10 years ago. I was very exited to finally play it and after finishing it I wish i kept out of this, thinking it as this elusive alternative Portal.
Play it if you are a die hard fan and are tired of all the other mods, if not skip it.

Literally won't launch anymore. Says it's missing materials/console/startup_loading.vtf, I substitute this texture with another from the same folder, but then says, "unable to load version from steam.inf"
I've tried validating files and reinstalling but it still won't launch.
