If so, are they it, he or she? Sounds female.
(while it is possible to keep everything gender-neutral, it doesn`t look as nice this way)
I`m still very conflicted on the point of everything related to Gaians.
Tuto shows temple ruins and calls it "gaian temple ruins". It continues with a passage "This species ..." implying that the temple itself was built by Gaians (at least in my understanding).
Then Joma shows intact temple. But at that point it states that Gaians built hovering constuct and not the temple. While the temple itself was built by unknown worshippers.
Now i want to know which one of those objects (temple/construct) actually does something usefull within game lore. Does that hovering construct gain anything from the temple structure?
(sidenote: tuto uses gaian while joma uses gaianese)
The temple refers to the whole thing, including the hovering parts. Only the combination of both works as a Gaia generating temple that can do something. The underlying structure actually does not exist in the game without the hovering part, so the story that the underlying part was built by some other worshipers is not that relevant and just a side note.
Gaian vs. Gaianese is a bit inconsistent on our side. Both is fine.
Originally Gaian construct is mobile, and used to be moved around the planet to find most efficient link between source and target. It however lacked any kind of energy storage, since it was used for continuous shifting of energy balance, not stripping and hoarding. Construction of worshipping structure underneath somehow found itself to be a home for energy converter. It is currently unknown which part of that combine actually allows to store energy as well as harmlessly accumulate it from intelligent life nearby. Furthermore, below structure encompases Gaian construct in such a way that it can`t be moved any more without changing hovering altitude, which in turn is not something it was orginally planned to be able to do, so it is considered to be too high of a risk because of how little is known.
In short:
How does field pollution resistance work? That doesn`t seem to be a major parameter for big colonies, but still interests me.
How exactly dormant volcanos can be awakened.
How is SolarPark bonus calculated? Half of it seems to be inversely connected to Rockiness, which doesn`t make sense to me. Then it seems to account temperature, but only if it is high enough? And for some reason higher temperatures give higher bonus, which again doesn`t make sense...
I would also share the notes i made:
Descriptions for each level of a district, as well as leveling for different districts should be merged into 1 text.
Adding a space at the beginning of goal header (like _Colony or _Gold in Campaign\Tuto) seems much neater as there is a wider icon there in game.
For [DeadForestAppendix] key and alikes, optimally the " - " part should be included into text.
[MineAsteroidDesc] and [MineDesc] in Tools\Tools along with [RocksDesc] and [StoneQuarryDesc] in Constructs\Constructs should be consistent in that all of those produce same Good.
[FrontierBuoyDesc] and [FrontierTowerDesc] have different descriptions which adds confusion, since constructs work the same way, and so their descriptions should be identical. I suggest merging.
Perhaps you got very lucky? I've gotten riots before when just one district was unhappy just for a couple seconds
And that it was not scripted by campaign mission?
It wasn't because of opponents, but it very well could have been a scripted event. It happened to me very early on either the Joma or Lorian mission, I can't remember which. I think it was Lorian after claiming a tile that had one of the existing science districts
Gotcha. That's definitely what I saw then
