Russian language

Does Russian exist in the game?
If not, is the appearance of the Russian language planned?

A part of the Russian translation of Imagine Earth was done a while ago, but is currently not maintained. We currently rely on the community and would be very happy if you know someone who would enjoy translating Imagine Earth. See https://steamcommunity.com/app/280720/discussions/3/1642041106361945821/

1) If part of the Russian translation was already done long ago, then why now the Russian translation does not work?

2) the link that you sent, I could not find information about the Russian language.

3) I read the topic "Community Translation" and came to the conclusion that in order to do the translation, you also need to know programming languages well. It is very difficult.
There are many people who can quickly translate English text into Russian.
Could you make it possible to translate without applying programming knowledge?

4) The Russian language is used on the largest part of our planet. More than half of the planet and dozens of countries around the world speak Russian. It is very strange that you add rare languages of dwarf countries which are not even visible on the world map in your game and still have not added the most important language on the planet.

1) You have to manually switch to it in the options, because only a part is translated and that part is also outdated. So we decided to not automatically activate it.

2) The link just states that it's partly done. I just gave it as a general information on how community translation is done.

3) Based on which parts of the topic did you come to that conclusion? There is no need to know programming languages.

4) These are the languages currently in the game, each with the number of people speaking that language based on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_total_number_of_speakers

English: 1.268 billion
German: 131.6 million
Spanish: 537.9 million
Brazilian-Portuguese: 252.2 million (Portuguese)
Italian: 67.7 million
French: 276.6
Russian: 258.0 million
Simplified Chinese: 1.120 billion (Mandarin Chinese)

Not sure which of these languages is spoken in "dwarf countries".

As I said, we would be really happy to add Russian as a complete language to our list. We don't prioritize here - it's just based on what is translated by the community. We only focus on English and German (since the latter is our native tongue).

3) I just clicked on these links and found that it is impossible to simply translate the game knowing only two languages.
Perhaps this first conclusion is incorrect, since I did not spend a lot of time studying the topic, and therefore I have not yet seen how this actually works.
But my first impression is that it’s impossible to just take a text in one language and replace it with text in another language.

4) It is rarely possible to find true information on Wikipedia, it is harmful to use this source. Wikipedia is just another marketing tool for promoting and tricking people. And this link from you only confirms it once again.
