job changing mini-game
anyone have tips for this mini-game? it's my least favorite part, thinking I have the right placement, but suddenly "oh no, you were off by a few inches, no desired job for you, have fun with these options you don't need." and then having to wait another 10 minutes just to try and figure out why the game didn't like my original cutting.

Hello rougesforhire,

Few tips from us:
* The job specialization on cultists is nice but it is not crucial to have it always correct. It gives a slight boost, nothing else (Around 20% on high cultist level)
* The minigame judges the horizontal/vertical orientation of your drawing, then the size (small, medium, big) and the positioning (middle. top bottom for horizontal OR left, center, right for vertical ) in the end. This is all that matters, nothing else. You can draw whatever you want.

We get mixed feedback about the minigame and still think how to balance the challenge here but allow more often for a desired effect. We do not want to make it just -> "choose what you want" menu. Also, there is some madness element here which fits the theme of the game.

Thank you for your feedback!
I like the flavor it adds, but the actual 'find the right carving' is getting old.

How about as an option something to pay, like 1% of your current faith or 50 faith, which ever is greater, to get a pre-placed stamp, and it could add flavor too as your artist would design it.

The manual cutting is an essential part of the experience, keeping that but smoothing out the experience would be awesome. Maybe something along the lines of selecting the cutting you want then it applies a stencil (maybe for some cost) in the right location like in tattooing, and then the user still has to cut it into the flesh.

i wouldn't mind some of the finicky decisions it makes, if they just removed the time or shortened it to no more than a minute.

I find the only issue with this mini game is the game seems to use true RNG instead of a ticket system, I've had games where i get an insane amount of specific roles and none of others. The ability to change specializations can help with this but if you're truly unlucky RNG can be rough especially if you have very few followers. Personally I think it would make more sense to group some together by sigils or common talents like animal handling

Sorry, why is this a problem? Every ten minutes you get to scratch a tattoo into someone's back and make them whatever you need.

not if you need to sacrifice them to make him sleep longer

Just a quick information that there are changes coming to the minigame with the next big update. (Beginning of February)
I've always thought it should be some kind of runic symbol rather than just a weird oval. Hope that's part of the update

You can draw anything you want. This is one of the cooler parts of the game that makes it much more immersive.

The biggest issue with this is the 10 min timer - there's no alert when you can do another one.
