Do homeless appear on sacrifice/exalt menus?
Asking for a friend.

If they are not useful to me in their worship and labor, I have purpose yet for them.

No, only housed followers appear for these. I have seen people in here saying you shouldn't house everyone, but I can't for the life of me figure out why that would be helpful unless you don't have resources to feed everyone. And even then, I would still say you could just house the extra people and put them to work on whatever resource you're lacking. Having homeless pop is just leaving faith income on the table if you can feed them all. Unless I've missed something, there's no downside to having empty homes ready and waiting for new followers if you have the planks to spare. They don't cost any faith for upkeep.
Sacrificing the homles should be a thing... HAHAHA,...wow...that came out in ways I did not intend.

you said yourself that the only thing missing is faith( not in this post bu in another) and belive me or not the reason is that you house everyone....

i get where you are coming but more houses dont increase your pop count and thats why it is not that easy with just building more and more houses to increase your income....
have you notice that the basic needs changes and not i a way most people think because unless like in other games after upgrading the follower count donst increase... and tier 3 dont even use the basic stuff...

TL;DR in the end of chapter 2 i had over 200.000 faith around 3000+ 170 foloowers and only 4 corn cookers 3 robe makers and 4 clam and around 90 homeless and all of the storage was full so only half of my production was even running the whole time...

and last thing last

qoute from the devs an not just flavour it was an answer and the game keeps telling you this as well
"Layout planning is an important part of the game. It may be very important for the next upcoming subchapter. Running a cult sometimes mean that not every of your followers will get a house. They will gladly suffer for Cthulhu!"

just because your way works donest mean that its is the most effienct way.... and the people who made the game and the game itself said that you dont house everyone
Unless you have the decree that generates faith per homeless, homeless pop generates no faith. If you have excess planks, food, robes, and homeless then housing a homeless person can only be a net increase in faith generation, again unless I've missed something.

Obviously once you have a large colony, that will change, but it's just bad advice to say a blanket statement "leave people homeless" without explaining why it's important and at what colony size it actually becomes useful.

Look, we can have it both ways.

Build you homeless a house.

Then sacrifice them.

Everybody wins!

Nah, you're missing the point. What you suggest would be a lot of extra steps, besides which , dollars to doughnuts, you already got recently housed homeless you could use. the point is if you don't want to use anybody who's already housed as a sacrifice, it would be quick and dirty solution to select some of your homeless and the idea that they need to have faith is kinda senseless since lovecraftian cults are a threatening collective body and are as likely to sacrifice the willing as the unwilling .

however, if the option is added you should not get the same benefit from an unwilling sacrifice. Like sacrificing the homeless is a way to stave off the wrath of C'thulhu but you're burning your future for fuel, because that population is actually highly skilled and you won't have them when you need them later on. it all takes care of it's self balance wise.

They're all willing, they came to join the cult after all.

Theoretically if sacrificed they already don't give the same benefits, because patience generated is based on Zeal and presumably a homeless cultist has the baseline level of Zeal since they aren't near any Zeal-generating buildings and are jobless. Exalting for Horrors doesn't care about Zeal though.

The situation I'm hoping to shortcut is "I don't need labor or faith, I need monsters!"

that's a really good point. You're right, they're there, they came, that demonstrates faith.

no you are correct........... this is always true unless you want to expand and in this game particular the needs of tier 2 and 3 are going down not up.........

so in this game it is ,for at least me, the best to prioritize more on acension then housing to increase faith

i ask you how many corn cooker do you need for a population count of 125

my pop count

my corn production

i dont have screenshots but i ended up with 170 and had just to build 4th which is most of time idle because of full storage.....

this is what i mean not to house everyone
