Using Krita to create Pixel Art
Whilst Krita was not originally built with pixel-art in mind, OpenGameArt.org has a great tutorial which describes how to create pixel-art brushes which don't experience fading or anti-aliasing, as well as some advice for setting up your workspace and hotkeys.

We've now also got a posterize filter, I'll try and make that available in the next steam release, too.
