how do I save an image with a transparent backgrond?

I want to save a drawing I did with a transparent background so i can place it in videos without any trouble, but I just can't seem to figure out how. any help will be very appreciated.

Save it as .png file.

better "export" it to png, and "save" your file in .kra format.

that way, if you used layers, you can later do more adjustments if needed without "flattening" everything into a single layer, and losing that option.

Yeah. I also always keep the latest .kra file. Naturally.
You often see mistakes after a while you have already "finished" the work.
