my files are not saving properly

i saved a sketch but even tho it said its a krita file it only looked like a blank page icon it didnt have the drawing as an icon, just blank. i clicked on it ,it just wouldnt open my work ,and i could only open it with by the "open image" on krita but file isnt even an image file just a blank iconed krita file that wont work directly. i am not sure if its an issue with windows 11 but not being able to see which drawing is which and not being able to open em via just clicking on them is really an issue. i tried everything from running krita as administrator to updating the card driver . i dont know what else to do someone please help

i have a similar issue and am also on windwos 11, i can only open them via krita but i can see the images in krita after the recent update, before i just had to distinguish by text whats what and opened them via krita from the file browser/ recent file... dunno how to fix it but aside from that everything still works. maybe it rly is bc of windows 11?
