Krita

Recent issue with pen.
I haven't used krita in a while, now that i've just returned to it i noticed something strange.

I use a Wacom Intuos tablet,i've got 2 buttons on the pen,one of them i had already mapped on undo and it did just that. Now i've noticed that whenever i press the button aside from undoing the action it also pans the image and consequently moves it around,it's extremely irritating.

I tried to configure it,but it seems it's not related to my tablet but to the program itself since no matter what i do it always does that.

Have you tried looking at "Settings" -> "Configure Krita"? There is "Canvas Input Settings" Tab and "Pan Canvas" scroll. Action "Pan Mode" is what you are looking for.

In my case it is Middle Mouse button. And one of my pen's buttons is mapped to Middle Mouse Button in my OS settings. Exactly this button evokes Pan Mode as expected.

If I clear this setting to "none" pressing buttons on my stylus not evokes Pan Mode anymore.

I haven't done that but i checked it now.It still doesn't help because while i have the middle mouse button to pan with,i set that specific button on the pen to "undo" in the tablet configuration and it does undo,it's not bound to any mouse button, yet it simply acts as pan and undo simultaneously whenever i press it.Also in the settings window you mentioned there's nothing suspicious that could be tied to the pen in this situation.

Idk what is going on here with your install. I made one more test - assigned my stylus button to be Ctrl+Z instead of Middle Mouse Button. My Krita still expects Middle Mouse Button to initiate Pan Mode. But cuz my stylus button is Ctrl+Z now and not Middle Mouse button it does Undo and not Pan. Everything as expected.

P.S. I use Kubuntu Linux 20.04. My tablet is simple Wacom One. I use integrated in Kubuntu System Settings tool to configure my Wacom tablet.

Must be something with krita since the problem started when i returned to it after months.

Or it can be with your Windows - it is updating constantly right? Or with Wacom driver.

I don't really want to defend Krita by saying that it is perfect - it corrupts .ora files in my case for example and dragging and dropping files into it is made wonky - but I find your claims kinda dubious.

But... if you feel it is Krita - then you need to find out how to fill a proper Bug report. It should be a lot better way than posting here and waiting for help.
