Need help with zooming while selecting in Krita

I do not have Krita Gemini, but I have the regular desktop version of Krita, and was wondering if there was a way to scroll (zoom) in and out while using a selection tool in Krita. Is this even possible? I'm thinking of a zooming similar to paint.net's selection tool + zooming combo you can do for precise selections.

I just tried this by myself. Seems it's not possible to zoom in or out while using a selection tool as long as you hold one mouse button. If you are using the beziér selection tool or the polygonal selection tool you can zoom in and out between two mouse clicks.
