You do need a powerful graphics card if you want to run the latest UE5 games with high settings at resolutions that look sharp enough to be somewhat comparable to a monitor in VR (at least) 3000x3000 per eye. However you can use the DLSS transformer model which does work much better in VR than prior upscalling methods.
