The Dead End puzzle (In The Beginning, Egyptian world, I-piece) bugged?

I connect red laser emitter to reciever, then the gate with reciever closed. And it stayed closed despite it disconnecting the laser.
Pretty sure it not supposed to happen, concidering red reciever has visually visible wire connected to plasma wall (with blue emmiter behind), and closed gate has wire connected to switch.

Pretty sure it's intended; you need to set up the blue connections first and when you place the connector for the red you need to block it with your body until you're past the gate.

Blue remains blocked

It's not a bug. Gate blocking and all is a part of the puzzle. Restart if you're stuck.

Hi. I attach the red receiver, then block the connection while walking inside. I then set up the blue connector and open the inside gate. I then put the switch to green. Then I know I have to rush to break the red connection to open the outside gate, but cannot seem to get to break the connection before the gate closes. I have tried many times! Is there a trick to it?

No need to rush. Look around some more.
