It's totally the same as the original first game
Almost 10 years have passed, but this is just a 'remastered' version, not a remake. Just buy the first game or the second one. This game isn’t worth buying.

It's worth it for the editor alone. if you don't like it, just ignore it.

It's a remake, because it was built again in a totally different engine. Don't mix up those terms.

I feel that way as well. If developers are not planning to support the old version it would be best for the players who have the old version to get the new version for free. Bethesda did that for players with Skyrim Special Edition.

It's completely rebuilt in a new engine and has new content. It's a remake. Not that the semantics really matter - it is what it is. If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it.

We are yet to see an example of a game and it's player base that would be satisfied by this so called remake.

There are people who haven't played the original game so it will be a better choise for them, besides that, it will have a new content.
You personally shouldn't buy this game if you do not want to.
