BloodLust Shadowhunter

BloodLust Shadowhunter

Game won't start.
Even when I don't have it running in fullscreen mode, I can't seem to get the game to start. The icon shows up in my task bar for a moment, then promptly disapears. It also won't show up in my task manager at all. But if I click the play button again, it will tell me that the application is already running. If I click on the play button again after a few minutes, and it takes me to the start up menu. I was hoping some of the recent updates would fix my problem, but no luck. Already tried redownloading and verifying and all of that standard stuff.

Did you try adjusting the resolution from the "Game Launcher"? Usually un-checking full screen fixes this issue however sometimes you might need to set it to a differenet resolution too.

Also... you can try running the game directly from the game directory too.

c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\bloodlust shadowhunter\binaries\win32\udk.exe

Let me know if it works.

I am also experiencing a problem getting the game to start. I have tried every possible combination of window/full screen/resolution available in the settings menu, verified my game cache, reinstalled the game, restarted steam. When I attempt to run the game directly from the game directory, I get a system error stating "the program can't start because D3DCOMPILER_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Any ideas?

That missing file (D3DCOMPILER_43.dll) might be fixed by re-installing DirectX

However I haven't experience that particular error so I cannot be sure and I am not familiar with your particular system or what version of directx you currently have installed - Make sure never to download indivdiual missing dlls found on the internet and ONLY go to Microsoft's official site to re-install DirectX.

Thanks for the help. That worked like a charm. I love the game! Thanks for all the hard work.
