Note from Developer - What Exactly is Bloodlust?
Hello Everyone... Thanks for taking a look at Bloodlust.

I know some people might be hoping Bloodlust is the un-official sequel to another popular vampire rpg... However those are some pretty big boots to fill considering that game was done by a good-size team with a large budget, etc.

Bloodlust is small indie "Dungeon Crawler" style game made mostly by one person (me).

I wanted to create a dungeon crawler but rather than use the typical medieval characters normally found in these type of games - I thought I would try something different... with dark kindred lore and features not normally found in this style of game, such as allowing players to sire a family through their embrace, while growing in bloodline and building reputation with factions, unbeknownst where your true loyality lies.

Bloodlust allows you to grow into a powerful vampire as you increase attributes, talents and skills, while exploring a labrynth of passages, dungeons, caves and sewers deep beneath a dark city run by several different rival vampire factions.

If you enjoy dungeon crawlers you may want to give Bloodlust a try.

Thanks
Bill

Just out of curiosity, how large is the overall campaign expected to be (in vague gameplay hours)

And while we're here, do you know what the early access price will be yet?

It's still in closed Beta and not enough testers have finished the game yet to give an accurate "average" playing time - however if I had to guess probably between 15-30+ hours (because the dungeons are huge with multi-levels - you can spend 100+ hours in there if you wanted)

Early Access price is $12.99

That actually sounds like a really good value for the price. If I get an hour per dollar spent out of a game I figure I break even. Thanks for the fast reply.

how much damage can you cause in factions from within, if you're not to much into the dungeon stuff and want to just purely manipulate your way on top and become a parasite in groups is that possible?

What are you guys planning to do that separates yourself from any other dungeon crawler/RPG any type of innovative mechanics?

So this is a medievil style dungeon crawler with an art style and vampire lore story to suck in Bloodlines fans? I thank the developer for being honest. I will remove this game from my wishlist to skip this title and to keep waiting for the next proper vampire game.

Looks really good from the screenshots. is there a option to turnoff blood and gore? just wondering because i like to do that in games if the option is avaible.

Betrayal from within factions is usually motivated by the player's desire to gain reputation with rival clans instead of the original quest giver, and thus allowing them to grow and increase in a different of set of skills. Some have mentioned the ability to "sire" somewhat innovative in game such as this.

Bloodlust would probably be considered a little different than your average dungeon crawler with quests involving jealousy, betrayal, revenge and seduction. I just tend to stress the crawl aspect so players know exactly what the core of the game is since most of the charm in Bloodlust is probably found in it's exploration, secrets, traps and combat.

No gore option yet... However, other than blood when attacking, it's actually not as gory as you might expect.

Looking forward to this. Can't wait to sire my own children.

Just tried the demo, it is quite enjoyable. Will be getting this game when it comes out.

Good stuff. I've had my eye on this game for a while.

I don't know why, but when i read "dungeon crawler" i immediatly jump to rogue-like and permadeath. Will there be anything like permadeath/-option?
WRF Studios  [developer] Feb 17, 2015 @ 7:15am
Possibly, since it wouldnt be too difficult to put an option like that in. However would probably want to hear from some people while in Early Access to make sure its a good fit for Bloodlust.

will there be any mod support?(for content stuff with full freedom like skyrim)
aceThequick Feb 26, 2015 @ 9:44am
you can use xbox 360 controller right?
WRF Studios  [developer] Feb 26, 2015 @ 11:06am
Mod Support? Anythings possible... but not really designed for that yet.

Controller Support? Its something I am playing around with and would like to add if possible (actually you can move around and attack currently with a controller) - however Bloodlust is designed more for Keyboard+Mouse control due to the accuracy required and UI and inventory management factors
