It doesn't make sense that half vampires have glowing eyes, but vampires don't
If anything half vampires are more human which would make more sense that their eyes don't glow, true vampires eyes should glow....I just find this to be an odd mechanics...just might be me nitpicking because I love vampires, but little things like this annoy me.

Wow didn't expect to hear from the developers, thanks for replying I just started trying out the demo for this game today, so far so good. This is just one thing I found odd about it, What was your decision to make half vampires eyes glow, and full ones not?

I added the glowing red eyes to the Dhampir Breed since I wasnt sure if players would like red eyes for the Vampire since its not very realistic - so I figured players who like the red eyes can select the Dhampir Breed.

Ah, I see where you're coming from, but vampires themselves aren't real, and those glowing red eyes look really sick. I think you should change it to vampires because it would make more sense to me and im sure others...Hopefully people see this and make it heard. Maybe you should make a separate post about it and ask the public i'm sure it will gain more attention than a post by a random like me.

In my oppinion vampires with glowing eyes would just look weird. Especially if you consider they try to blend into human society (in most settings) in order to hunter their prey, the living.

Though offering two skins, one with and one without glowing should keep everybody happy I suppose.

Except glowing eyes is just a visual effect for the player to make them look more vampiric. In any work of fiction that has vampires with glowing eyes, the vampire can usually hide or mask the glow if they want to so Humans or other races can't distinguish them, they usually start glowing when they get mad. and Skins would be cool.

So the majority wins?
Why not make the glowing eyes optional, as in different eye colors or something?
It may even add some depth to the character creation system.
I picked my Damphir because of the red eyes, if you change it I gotta start a new game to have my character back?
I hope you stick by your original vision of the game, pleasing everyone is imposible...
I for one think the game's great, bought it as soon as I heard it was out and I'm not disappointed.

Or make an option to change the skin or re-edit your characters looks. But yes an optional for both races to be able to select glowing eyes or not glowing eyes seems like the best idea here.

Yeah, more options to customize your character would be great.
I don't mind if it takes a while before its implemented, I'm sure I'm not the only one that would've liked to customize their character a bit more when creating one.
It doesn't have to be incredibly extensive like Skyrim either, just a few presets or something's ok too...

I wouldn't mind either, but it could be cool if they could add in the option to choose glowing or not just to start it off for now if it's not too difficult to pull off.

+1 on vamps looking more like vamps and half vamps looking less badass then a full.
Jivebot Sep 23, 2015 @ 5:49pm
I was also surprised that the Half-Vamps got the red eyes and not the full vamps. I don't really care one way or the other, but for realism's sake(as much as this topic can be considered realistic) i'll throw in a vote to switch Red Eyes to the Vamps and give normal eyes to the Damphir.

How about an option for either Vampire or Dhampir to have red-eys? Just a toggle in the settings, or something?
Angerioth Sep 23, 2015 @ 6:27pm
Well, Real vampire's skin glow so yeah
Sir Whiskers Sep 23, 2015 @ 6:28pm
