Character modding

I just found out about this game so I bought it. I'm really impressed with it so far, it has a lot of features that are pleasing. After I complete game, I like to mod characters and just run around doing random stuff. Is this acceptable? Or is this against regulations with this game? For example, Terraria was a blast and then I spent twice as much time messing around with modded characters and levels. Those things seemed to be openly shared.

I know there is a "mods" section in the game, but that is a little bit different than modding an actual character file.

You're free to modify a character file as much as you want I believe on the condition that you don't take it to other people's servers without their permission.

(Also as a tip, if you open the options file and turn developer mode on you'll gain access to commands which are essentially cheats. For example, /level # will give you that many levels and /spawn entity_name will spawn an item or monster. A warning though that turning on developer mode will disable achievments for all characters and worlds used while developer mode is on).

Anyone found the value that limits how much remna you can use?

I want to see if I can make it specific to individual stats, instead of just 1 remna per level.
