Crea wont start!
So i just purchased Crea, and after installing it says preparing to lauch and on the sidebar it says running but then nothing happens. I get no error messages or anything else. I have tried restarting steam, restarting my computer and deleting local content and re-installing.
I am looking forward to playing this game but it wont start! Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Hey there! That's not good. There's two things we'd like you to report to use. The first is that we need the logs and the .dmp file (if it exists). There are instructions here on how to do it when you can't run the game: http://steamcommunity.com/app/280520/discussions/0/618460171327332986/

The second thing we need you to do is run the game from the .exe file rather than through steam. It shouldn't run, but we need to know what the error message says. When we have that information we can see if we can figure out the problem.

Hopefully we can figure it out quickly!

When i execture crea from the folder it says it cant start because " api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer"

Let me know if there is anything else you need and thanks so much for helping me out.

>_< Welp, that was the worst possible result. Microsoft pushed an update to windows 7 and 8 at some point which caused this issue for a small number of people, and we've been trying to fix it ever since (it works fine for everyone in windows 10). First thing to try is making sure all updates for windows are installed. About 90% of people that have had the issue fixed by ensuring their windows is up to date. Most people who experience this issue are on older versions of windows, and installing the latest updates will fix it (you want to keep windows up to date anyway, since most of the updates are fixes to computer crashes or security issues that allow for viruses).

If that doesn't work (and try that first) then you should try running Crea in compatibility mode for XP. We recently made a change that we hope will make that work for the few people who updating windows doesn't fix it for.

If none of those work, then tell us. There might be some other things to try. Hopefully it'll end up that windows just isn't up to date on your computer, since that would be the easiest thing to fix!

I have the same problem, when I start it by Steam it starts to open and then closes. When I start Crea.exe in "Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Crea"
I get an application error message "The application could not be started correctly (0xc000007b)."

@Ryuuma. That sounds like an error with Steam not installing the game correctly. It's actually a different one than r3xtr0n is having. Try repairing the game, then if that doesn't work uninstall and reinstall the game.

I'm having the same issue - I can't get a .dmp log and when trying to run from the .exe I get the same error as above: " api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer". I have installed all possible Windows updates too. I did try to run in compatibility mode in XP but the only option I can find there is for Vista... Any ideas of what to try next? Looking forward to playing again!
