why? this is possibly the most cringe thing ive seen. an arena inspired fps with none of the core game modes...

i dont even see the rogue like elements preventing it from happening they just want to force this 4v4 game which is again kinda cringe.

Go play the original on the epig store with the four remaining players I guess if you want deathmatch or duel.

you can literally make a custom lobby and just 1v1 all day. what are you on about.

I don't think this game would be made out for duel. This isn't a pure afps. play the OG diabotical...or better yet, play the OG Quake or Quake 2 if you want 1v1's

the game just released and only has the one gamemode for now, later there will be many more ways to play the game, and according to the dev logs there is a decent likelihood of this game replacing what diabotical was, meaning it having classic duel and more as a way to play the game.

but wouldn't that also indicate that they want to try new things out? bc honestly, the old Diabotical just didn't work in all forms. even if it would include a duel mode, chances are it won't be LIKE anything what Quake was IMO. this Game's made for a new audience
