I saw 4x4 green marks on ther ground but dont understand how to use'em.
My bad — I don't like a lot of texts in such games :(
So text in the discussion threads are better than text in the games? :P
You have to use Terps to dig down until they uncover what is in the green circles. Then take energy there...
Besides, if memory serves me right, you can go o Orbital -> Archived Transmissions to re-read the dialogue if you skipped it and have no idea how to progress as a result of that.
You didn't? Because the Terp has a slider bar that determines what it changes marked terrain elevation into. What did you think that was for?
I don't usually build walls. Walls can get overrun. I prefer to hold creeper off with sheer firepower. If I need a wall, I usually don't have time to make one.
What I usually use Terps for is to create level terrain to place stuff on, The fastest way to do that is to change the area to whatever level most of the surrounding area is. That can be either raising or lowering terrain.
take the last lever for example. I made a secondary ring around the existing ring of wall so that if it spilled I would be safe. and it dropped creeper outside the existing wall so it really helped keep all my crap safe.
My strategy for that? Build lots of cannons, and NEVER MOVE THEM (unless I have to because they're over one of those spots I need to dig). I've found that five or six cannons can keep a creeper node suppressed from the moment the node is dropped, at least long enough to destroy it. And that's withOUT upgrades.
In the long run, I think it's more power efficient than building dirt walls.
Also, once I get Thor tech, I'm usually building them nonstop (usually 2 or even 3 at a time) for the rest of the game. Having a dozen or two Thors scattered around the map helps with node suppression as well.
