Colonial Space Not Loading Maps?
Anyone have a fix for Colonial Space maps not loading? Since yesterday, any Colonial Space map previews I didn't load before now wont load. Additionally, any map I hadn't downloaded previously will not download, even if the preview is there. Its as if the server is offline.

*update* I just cleared my download cache and selected the cloud saves, issue still exists.

The game also downloads thumbnails one at a time (separately from the index file). If I had to guess I'd say that something is blocking your access to certain URL's on the knucklecracker server. ISP or country firewall, local AV software, router... really hard to know. One thing you can try is to just try loading a thumbnail from a browser. Here's a url to try: http://knucklecracker.com/creeperworld3/queryMaps.php?query=thumbnail&guid=22543fdf8d74f2ab73fb5506bd00db0b

That's the same URL the game would load to retrieve a thumbnail image for a map. Of course the bigger problem is not loading the metadata file. You could start by renaming this directory on your machine: c:\Users\YOUR_USER\Documents\creeperworld3\colonialspace. That's the directory the metadata file downloads to. If you still can't download the map index, then it has to be something between you and the server that is stopping it (the metadata file downloads fine currently).

Assuming you still have this issue, have you rebooted your PC? That seems to fix the vast majority of issues for most people.

Failing that, can you provide a copy of your output_log.txt file?

Best way to do this is to open a thread on the forums above

Hi Karsten.

Indeed still an issue after a couple of reboots. PasteBin link below to my log file. Hopefully it gives an indication, only thing that caught my eye was "System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Array index is out of range.". For this logfile, I loaded the game, tried to download a colonial map from yum (it immediately reverted to saying "download" again). then exited. Still the same issue where new map previews wouldn't load in either.

Thanks for the reply and any help you can offer.

Thank you, Sir! Of course it would be something easy. For some reason, TinyWall was no longer providing the exception for CW3.exe, unless it was previously using Steams exception. Either way, added the process to the exception list and everything is working as it should.
