s100_199 Polcorpis Holy hell man.
So, I really never thought it possible, but I finally did it.

I have gotten to the win stage of Polcorpis. The stage you get to in every level where you basically can't lose as you've overcome every challenge the level has to offer.

Took a LONG while, but yeah, it essentially has to do with building 3 quick reactors, then making a terp, then a 1 tile wide wall of max height sectioning off the landing pad and the area below it fro mthe rest of hte level

Then I build a mortar at the top corner of the wall, and then make 3 beams, after those are made and fueled, I build reactors until I can fire the mortars, terp without going negative with my 1 command node.

I did this all while landing my Nodes as often as I could just for the extra energy

The level is pretty good to figure out strategies too. In a way, it's really quite like a discount version of Jovencoting.

Took me almost exactly 3 hours to beat the level.

I know this may come off wrong, but I'm offering you some advice. If you took 3 hours to do that level, you're not optimizing your play. THere's nothing wrong with that, it's just that there are alternative strategies that may yield shorter times. For grins, I took a swing at that map - turns out, that despite the many hours pf playing, I've never played it. Also usually, if I want to set a good time, I have to play it twice or more to see how things pan out mid-game - in this case I just went at it in one shot, because IMI, most prospector zone maps are not that hard.

The thing I can say from reading your narrative is that you should bear in mind that energy makes for winning. the fastest way to get energy is a collector network. If you get good collectors, they give half the energy of a reactor at 1/8 of the initial cost. Of course, most collectors can't be placed optimally, but that still means they are very quick to return a yield.

Terraforming is also a very expensive and energy-intensive application - in most cases I just try and go for the high ground and us that to beat down n Creeper.

In this particular map, I landed all three command modules at the same time, never moved them and never had them overrun by creeper. Some pictures follow:

I hope this helps to show you some alternate strategies you can follow;.

Huh, yeah this is actualyl surprising to be totally honest.

I usually overdo my collectors a bit, make sure every bit of space is covered in green, but yeah this did open my eyes a bit now. Thanks Karsten ^_^

Many people play to their own individual requirements - terping the entire surface to a parking lot, drowing everything in Anti-Creeper, filling al availabe space with reactors. Not everyone is interested in just stomping over a map or getting a top-10 score. ALl styles are legitimate, after all this is a game and the idea is to hae fun.

However, sometimes it gets unnecessary hard and a different strategy is advisable.

So you're welcome and I hope you keep enjoying Creeper WOrld for a lot more maps. :)

I'm still sad that there's no buildable alternative to getting AC, miners on ores is the only way. :(
Way back when CW3 was released I was hoping it would be a thing because I missed it in CW2.

Well, here's hoping to CW4!
