Are you by chance on a mac or linux machine, or are you running windows?
The computer is a ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2024) if those details help.
I'm not sure we've quite seen this issue before, and are struggling to reproduce.
If you are willing, there a few things we could try:
- You could try to override saved settings to non-fullscreen mode if you feel comfortable navigating your computer and editing the game preferences.json. I would save a copy before you edit it, just in case. You would need to navigate to: C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Adriaan de Jongh\Rift Riff, and open the preferences file with notepad (AppData folder may be hidden, so you'd need to show hidden files). In the file, there should be a line that says: "fullscreen": true, . Change it to "fullscreen": false, and save. Now launch the game and see if its in windowed mode.
- Otherwise... The G16 is a laptop, right? What happens if you disconnect your monitor and only use the built in screen? Does it still not switch to non-full screen mode when you try it?
Not sure if any of this is related, from godot log file:
Thanks for your patience.
